Betrayal

They walked on the side of the shore, wondering where their lives would be in a couple of years.
Hands entwined, eyes lost in eachothers. They knew they were in love.

Fate tis not be in their favor. Nor, had their greatest wishes. 'Tis the girl felt betrayed.
You wonder, what could it have been? Thou wondereth what would lie in her hand.

A black rose, drained of happiness. Filled with a sad misery. She had looked up at the picture
of her mate, tears draining for from what were once happy eyes.

"Life has betrayed me. Praying has done nothing....."

It had been that thou lover had been shot under the moonlight when fighting to save her.
